A Month of Sketching Pt. 1

I've been averaging two to three drawing sessions a week for the past month or so. Great exercise but the pages have been filling up and I have not been taking the time to scan and upload. What follows is the first part of what I have been up to for the last month or so (in no real particular order).

Alessandra modeled for the group at Laumeier Sculpture Park. Beautiful day but I had taken Jackson along. As he just wanted to play I did not get much drawing done.

Fridays generally mean Fabulous Fridays in the Central West End. The Rockabilly Kids, Chad and Stephanie, invite people to hang out outside of West End Galleries and draw. Stephanie models. The weather has been great for it and there is usually live music and even the occaisional fire dancer or two.

Stephanie has a flair for costumes and a good time is had by all.

A new regular spot these days is Mojo Studios at the Concrete Ocean Art Gallery. Recently, Alessandra posed in a tribute to Bettie Page.

I have been 'experimenting' with new techniques lately. To that end, I was unhappy with most everything that came out of the session. Managed to pull a few decent sketches out of it though.
