Another figure drawing post

Another week, another trip to the Artist's Guild. Another male model. Keen observers will note that this is the same model as in my first post about drawing wieners. Perhaps the local nude model pool is rather shallow.

I found that the key to not drawing dongs is simply that: don't draw the dong. Pick something else to focus on.

I have decided to use these sessions to develop other skills I have ignored in the past. This time out I went with pen only. No rough pencil sketch, no blue pencil.

I attempted various line weights and shading techniques (is that an attempt at cross hatching?). Some of it worked, some of it didn't. All in all I was pleased.
